12. Finally added new Wheels. Rims: Ultra Gauntlet 17x9 6x139.7 matte black +12 offset for 115$ each on amazon. Tires: 285/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac from sears for 260$ each. I bought 19mm lug nuts on amazon as well. - The wheels make it look a lot more aggressive and they don’t add too much extra sound, nor does the ride quality worsen.

By the way, I only had to move the front wheel liner forward a little, and take off the front mud flaps, but other than that, there is now now rubbing at all. There is no need to body chop with this setup. Remember that all I had was a 3” front spacer and a 1.5” rear spacer.

Here are the best laugh nuts on amazon! They fit our 4th gens, they are high quality, thick paint, and long threaded to stay on your wheel tightly.

Today I installed a full interior LED conversion pack from amazon. They look great and work perfect! The interior looks more modern/bright now.

So, I already installed my Rola Roof rack, but I actually decided I liked the lower look a little more. So I bought the Lowering Brackets from 4xinnovations and painted them black.

With still more than a Centimeter to spare between the Rola rack and my Rear spoiler with its hump.

Bet you’ve never seen such a cool placement of a V8 emblem :). I feel it really makes my
4runner unique, plus it is symmetrical.

So I finally had time to tint my Tail lights. I was actually looking for aftermarket taillights to buy, but the only ones I could find looked very cheesy, or cheap. So my only other two options were to tint the lights using a spray or a film.

I decided to use a spray called VHT NightShades for 15$ off amazon, because you can choose how dark you want it, and you can remove it easily if you mess up.

Steps I took:
1. I cleaned off the tail lights and wet sanded them with 2000 grit sandpaper.
2. I spent more than 30 minutes washing off of the haze and micro materials you could see on the tail lights. Are used a hose of water and a microfiber towel. I also buffed out some of the smaller scratches with my polisher. Preparation is the most important part! Because I was scared that they would turn out bad from seeing other pictures. VHT night shades can look horrible if you do not do right.
3. I sprayed three light coats, but thick enough that it was one shiny layer each time, with 5-10 minutes each.
4.Finally, after waiting 30 mins, I did one thick clear coat.

And just an FYI, in the pictures it may look a little patchy but it all depends where your standing and the amount of light there is, for the most part I hit the light pretty even, and it looks pretty original/glossy.

Also, with this amount, it still allows a ton of light at night for people to see you.

This 4runner came with JBL audio installed and sounds better than any sound system I’ve ever had. It sounds like there is a small subwoofer in the vehicle too, if you turn the bass up.

One of my best mods I have so far is this 10$ Bluetooth converter off amazon. It’s lasted me 2 years so far with crystal clear sound. All you have to do is set it up with a power supply and connect it to the six outlet. I did this by using zip ties and feeding it into the center console. Once you enter your vehicle, all you have to do is hold the button down on the little Bluetooth converter for 2 seconds and your connected. I mainly got this mod so I didn’t have to plug in my phone every time to listen to music, and it allows you to charge your iPhone 7-8 through a usb.

And for anyone who may want to know, this is how 285/70/17 look on +12 offset rims.

This is how it looks when you add a 1” wheel spacer, which basically converts it to a -12 offset rim:

Beautiful truck. Sometimes I wish I would've waited it out for the v8 over the v6.

Hope you got the TB & WP service scheduled!

im surprise you didnt retrofit hid projectors in while you have the lights apart, was my tip helpful for you for doing the baking and sealing?

What would you guys add/change to make my 4runner look better? im still waiting on a rola rack - extended - low profile to arrive. Im also thinking about adding a 1" body lift and plasti dipping my emblems gun metal gray. What you you guys think? thanks!

Pretty sweet ride!!! Love what you did with the emblems!!

How much did the rolla rack set you back, if you dont mind me asking?
