Awesome build thread, definitely gave me some great ideas for mine, especially those low-profile roofrack mounts. Any plans for an exhaust so you can hear that glorious V8? :biggrin1:

The rack cost me 120$ shipped off Walmart, the extension I bought an open box(basically new) on eBay for like 40$ shipped, and the brackets were 78$ shipped unfortunately. I feel the low profile brackets were overpriced but it’s worth it for the look.

You can find those prices around the internet, just look around.

Normally you’d find the roof rack around 170$ and the extension 80$.

I’m actually debating flipping my brackets today so the roof rack will sit another 1-2” lower. I think I will do it haha.

And you know, I may do something for the exhaust, just waiting to earn more money haha

It’s all cosmetic haha , although I use it to drive up for mountain biking trails and camping.

Well I finally flipped my lowering brackets and now my Rola Rack sits another 2 inches lower. I like the look and looks perfect to me. It was a lot harder to install it lower like that, but let me know if you guys ever need help and I can explain how.

So I came up to Idaho for college from my home town in Colorado. The Provo canyon was closed because of fires in the mountains. It was so Smokey and almost nobody on the highway, but I didn’t know if it was actually closed or not, so I kept going haha. I made it through but it was sketchy! Overall I had 16 MPG not too bad.

I love this picture too! You can see the smoke in the background.
