Joshua Tree, Pinkham Canyon Road on Monday April 4th, 2016

Hello,

Everyone is telling me NOT to travel on trails alone. I wanted to try Pinkham Canyon Road in Joshua Tree on Monday (Heard it was the easiest with 2WD). This will be my first time, and I am not experienced at all driving off-road. Just want to drive, check out the scenery, and take photos. Would anyone care to join? This is an idea for now, nothing is set in stone yet.

Safety in numbers!!! I just camped two weeks ago in Joshua tree np, and drove out berdo canyon alone with my wife and kids. I typically travel alone since I don't have to many friends that have 4x4. I always have extra food, water, clothing and gear if I have to spend the night. Just be smart and you will be fine.

Dude, bet you were there while we were two weeks ago. We were up on the north end, but I came down old dale mine road and ran through the park back to the north.

Pinkham should be easy. It was back in October. It says 4wd and when I went there were some washouts that it was nice to use 4wd on, but they either had a bypass or a little extra skinny should get you through.

I was there for only one night, Sunday to monday. We stayed at jumbo rocks.

You will be fine. Slow and steady and always ready. The best advice ever given to me when off roading. "If you are unsure then no!" Spares having to winch, roll overs, tires, body parts and paint. My golden rule. I have done it with my daughter. You be fine.
