Just bought a 99 SR5 4x4...

It looked OK but needed a detail for sure. The one I ended up getting in Beaverton had 153k miles, so not that much less, but what sold me on it was for the last 5 years only 40k miles had been put on it, so I felt pretty good about it, plus the dealer doing their 76-point inspection or whatever. Looks like hoses were replaced, and the interior was pretty immaculate. Was probably a grandma 4Runner I fully expect to get 50k miles out of mine, and probably beyond. I've owned many Toyotas and they just go and go!

Yea, this has a t-belt sticker in 2004 at 95k, so it appears the majority of the miles were put on when it was new. So 70k in 6 years isnt too bad. Yea, Wilsonville did their 79 point inspection so whatever that means. They did put new rotors and pads on the front, resurfaced the rear drums, replaced the pwr antenna, changed the oil and did a few other misc things.

I am sure the detail guys rip through details like no tomorrow, but it seems they did an exceptional job on this one. I went out their with low excpectations, but as soon as I looked inside I was overly impressed and pretty much sold. I think it was priced high, but it is a dealer and they had it listed a few hundred under retail. What they gave me for trade on my Nissan is what completely blew me away.

I also liked the no hagling and they didnt send some other chode out to talk to me about why I am getting a great deal and if I dont buy it someone else will, etc. Talked to one salesman with no pressure and he did all the paperwork. Too easy.

Well, I guess if you would have bought it I wouldnt have it right now. That could either be a good thing, or a really bad one depending on how things go...

I just got done poking around underneath and noticed a new-reman Toyota starter. Not that its a huge deal, but I hear they are a PITA to replace. Also didnt notice any fluids leaking or wheeping which I am suprised. I would expect at least the rear main to be wheeping.
