Im trying to get over how clean the undercarriage is on your 4runner , can you get some more pics of the front and more pics of the back and interior ETC.. thanks, damn, you still have the original stereo in there.. really nice original 4runner

Any tips on getting thick grease off, the rear of the truck wasn't too bad, but towards the front there is 1/8" layer of grease/asphalt covering the entire underside. Can you heat it up safely... would it be easier to remove like this?. It laughed at purple power and the pressure washer. It will come off with a putty knife, but it will take about a month to do so.

That oilcake sucks. A scraper is how I've always gone after it - you don't have to get it all, just break up the surface so the pressure washer can get water underneath it and lift it off.

Definitely going to enjoy the process, all I can think about nowadays. It will be a slow pace for me for about another year then should pick up pretty rapidly. Looking forward to seeing your build. If its anything like Chevy 350 inspired one in your garage, it will be fun to watch.

Thank you. My first priority was to find something really solid. I have the initiative, but lack the skills to rebuild something from the ground up, so having a good base was key for me. I have to admit too though, once I started working on the clean up, I realized how preserved it is even with 310k on the clock. I will get some more pics as I move along, thanks again!

Did this some tonight, you're right on. Loosened it up enough to let the p washer do the dirty work. I swear, in spots it's thick enough to now be supportive structure for the truck. My driveway looks like hell, but well worth it.
