Hello, I'm Boyce from Dallas.
I recently bought a 2000 SR5 from an auction and it looks like the previous owner missed their turn due to high speeds. Evidence showing this are the drivers' side front door, quarter panel and step side are pretty dented in and the front brush guard got bent . The body damage is not what I'm concerned with its only cosmetic and I can replace those with ease. The two left side wheels are, well, bent . By the way the engine has no problems and looks , runs, drives excellent. All oem and very clean. Anyways back to the wheels. I had to replace the front tire and the shop could not properly balance it because the rim was bent . When I instead installed the spare tire just to test drive the truck, the "top side" of the tire was out way too much. Is that the control arm(s) bent that maybe causing the wheel to not be straight up and down? As for the back wheel, it wobbles ()())()()(. So, could that be just an axle shaft?
I have this project which is intended to be fixed on a modest budget so that the truck can be resold for profit, but I love these 4Runners and I have a feeling that I might end up keeping it. For every part that needs to be replaced I try to find quality used stuff, if unavailable then I resort to wholesale new parts. If anyone has anything for sale/donation it is much appreciated. I'm sure I will need to ask some pointers about the labor on some of this stuff since I will be doing it all in my garage. Here is the list of what all she needs:
-Hood (black)
-Front Left Quarter Panel (black)
-Front Left Corner Light
-Driver's Door (black) including Window
-Rim without tire
-Control Arm Front Left Lower?
-Control Arm Front Left Upper?
-Rear Axle Shaft Left?

Thanks Community! I'm a huge 4Runner fan and the generation I have just bought is my favorite one. I know I bought this with the intent of flipping it for a quick cash profit, but I think subconsciously I have always wanted one of these and will probably sell my Chevy Duramax 2500HD pickup instead and keep the 4Runner for my personal vehicle.
