Just bought my first 4Runner. Quick questions about air bags

I am new to the 4Runner community. I have always owned a pickup truck. I just traded my 2006 F350 Crew Cab with the 6.0 Diesel in on a 2007 4runner sport with the v8!

It’s a huge move for me, I loved my truck, but I have found it to costly after selling my business last winter. I hope it’s a move that I won’t regret. I do love the 4 runners.

I have just a few quick questions. I just bought the daystar 3/2 lift from another guy on the forum. I want to add manual air bags to the rear suspension. I’m looking at the firestone air bags. Will they work with the lift?

I plan on installing the lift, adding some spacers and 285 70 17 tires on it. I think this setup will work nicely. What do you think?

I will post some pics of my progress. Let me know what you think about the air bags.

someone just posted on the cornfed spacers not being compatible or advised for use with the firestone airbags, not sure if the daystar is, id call. this is for the airlift 1000 but maybe of help. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/24216-ome-rear-coil-spring-spacer-canshould-done.html ive had the 1000s on 2 vec.s & like em.

i contacted firestone about spacers use with they're bags, this ia what they said,--The 4135 kit will work with spring spacers but not with longer coils.

I have the firestone air bags in mine and I love them no probs. at all. They work great when towing my boat the rear does not sag a bit.I also have fj springs that are a little stiffer than oem.

Good news, Thanks guys! My f350 barely flinched with my 24' boat behind it. I know this 4runner is going to be a different story. We'll see
