Just Built awesome 12ga Shotgun

Not sure how many gun guys or gals are on here, but I built this Saiga 12 this weekend and I love it. Semi auto, AK platform, very low recoil, can be fired with one hand, and hold 12 round Mag or 30 round drum.

I moved the fire group forward to install the pistol grip, plugged a couple of holes, added a HD trigger guard, folding ATI collapsible stock, Tapco Fore-grip, and Scottsdale barrel shroud with door breach.

Super easy build, took less than an hour and total cost shotgun included less than 800.

Where did you purchase the base Saiga 12 from? I'd like to get my hands on one.
 
Best place for all Saigas is J&G Sales the run about 450-600 depending on supply from Russia. there is another place called classic arms Classic Arms Inc. that often has them in stock when other do not. they run about 550

most of my AK parts come from Carolina Shooters Supply... I have used them to build all of my AKs, they are not always the lowest price, but I can get it all one stop and shipping is always 9 bucks.

That's it? I was reading somewhere that prices were closed to $800-1000.
 
I have never seen the prices that high. But remember I always buy from the same two places. you need to be buying for around 550 to be fair to yourself, these shotguns keep getting pulled from dealers so they are getting very very hard to get, even so the price is still under 600 (shotgun) from a good dealer.

I can build a un-fired Russian AK47 7.62x39 with full conversion for under $800 parts and rifle. that includes new fire group, pistol grip ATI stock, bullet guide, forearm, hammer, trigger guard, and rails.

I built this one about 10 days ago and it was under 800

I have the Saiga AK in .223...I'd love to start tricking it out. Great job on the shotgun....I think thats going to be my next one. There's not much you can do to a Rem 1100 autoloader, so I may unload it or trade it in.
 
nice toy you got there mate..

the cheapest I can find around me is around $799 before tax + dros...

if anything, I would pick up an Benelli m4..
 
Nice shotty! Unfortunately for us Cali folks, we don't get to have any fun with the "normal" capacity mags..... And I'm pretty sure the Saiga requires a mag lock here... Damn california.....

TOY2G nice post! I have not ventured off the 4runner path on this forum yet and I was glad I did when I saw your thread. BofA Yeah you are going to love it here.

I think I'm going to have to start searching for the gun threads now. :uzi:

I have heard that. Same in CT I think. In Cali is it illegal to sell one or own one or both.
