just checking this is right

So I had the extra hose coming from the manifold after doing the isr mod. I looked up threads on what to do with it. Unfortunately I could not find an example with pics. So I did this using written instructions. This is how I routed the hose. Is this correct?

ive looked at all my pic of my k&n intake and cant figure out where that hose goes on mine. ill look tomorrow and let u know

Its is not right.

The hose is a vent for the evap system. Instead venting into the intake, it is now being vacuumed into the manifold.

This may cause a check engine light to come on.

I've been running this for 7 or 8 months with no issues. I don't think I've seen anyone with this mod have issues either. But since you bring it up, what would you recommend doing with that hose in case it does cause a CEL eventually?

p.s. Doesn't the intake flow into the manifold anyway? That hose connects between the air filter and throttle body so the vented air just runs through the TB and into the manifold, correct?
I don't know engines very well at all though so that's just a guess based on the positioning of everything, please school me if I'm missing something.

Evap box has 2 hoses to the motor. one is the full vacuum (engine side of the throttle body) and one is vapor vent (air filter side of the throttle body). There is essentially no vacuum here. Just filtered air.

The evap box uses the full vacuum for it operation (kind of like the power cord)

This is the Voodoo part. The ecm controls ESV (valves) that let the vacuum valves open up to vacate the fumes from the gas tank.

If it was fine to use full vacuum then Toyota would have only one line from the Evap box to the engine.

So in simpler terms. Lets say that you shot gun a beer. But you don't put a vent in it. The beer doesn't come out. Then vent it and you have a steady stream of beer flowing. Same with the EVAP. Your not letting it vent for it to vacate the petrol vapors.

Just a quick bump. I'm wondering if anyone had had any engine problems after doing this mod. CEL? Rough idle? etc etc...
