I have always been curious if anyone makes a stroker kit for the 5vz? Also if they make a big bore kit? The biggest set of pistons I have seen is .040 over.
Or you could drop in a nice compact LS motor that's built.
A stroker crank would likely have to be custom made. If I were to go the custom crank route in a car, I'd call Bryant Racing
They are who the Teams I've worked on have used for crankshafts, for years.
If they haven't made one for the 5VZ-FE previously, they certainly have the ability to do so. It's certainly won't be cheap, though.
The 5VZ-FE is already essentially a bored out 3VZ-E block, so there's not a lot of material left in the block for boring. Unless you want to get fancy and sleeve the block. But I really think you're getting to the point of diminishing returns at that point, while spending a bunch of money to do so.
A TRD supercharger with supporting fuel, timing, etc. mods is going to be much cheaper, and might just be enough to satisfy you.
Or you could drop in a nice compact LS motor that's built. Of course the rest of the drivetrain will then need to be strengthened as well. Then depending on emissions laws where you live, getting over that hurdle too.
Lots of possibilities. It just depends how much you want to spend.![]()
What kind of cams?
I have no idea I would have to talk to lce see what they recommend since im running the supercharger. 1000 $ is not to bad for cams when im done with my pulley mods I will probably be around 12 to 13 psi when I order them.
If you're looking at running that much boost, then I think you need to take the supercharger off and go with a turbocharger. I don't think you're going to get much more out of that roots blower. Other than a motor swap, I think a turbo is your best bet for more power.
Yup that's the plan my uncle and I are going to build the turbo setup he has a 1400hp 6.6 liter mustang cobra that runs 8s in the quarter mile and im a machinist / professional welder I have a lot of exsperice fabricating. But im broke right now no money for a forged engine or the turbo setup for now just trying to get ideas and seeing what's been done before on the 5vz. My friend has a fully built forged 5vz with oversized valves cams everything and bored .040 he said it revs to 10000k. He has a custom 1.1 pulley grooved and custom grooved belt running 16psi of boost he said it can slip at all. He spent 8 grand on the motor and makes 525hp at the crank and 480hp at the wheels.

Eat shit guys next time I see him I will take pics and get pics of his dyno pulls and start a new thread so you can all see that this motor is real.

Just for the record, the only thing I was commenting on, and it was intended to be a joke, was the 10000k comment.
I knew you meant ten thousand rpm.
So that would be expressed either 10,000 or 10k.
10000k, is ten million.
Have a nice day.![]()
I know it was a typo just tired that no one believes me about this motor and all the spell check police getting off topic.
