Just got 2004 Limited V8- 43K driveaway price

I just brought a 2004 Limited V8 with the following in it

X-REAS
Sunroof
Navigation System
Side Curtain Airbags
Day Time Running Lights
6 CD Changer Stereo
Rear Suspension (the rear raising feature)
Carpet Floormats
Cargo Mat
Rear Spoiler
Titanium Metallic

I think it has every single feature except for the third row seating...

I just sold my 1991 Honda Accord EX with 168,000 miles on it and the axel was about to blow (buyer did not know this) and there was rust all of over the place on it). The question is, do you think my experiences driving on the street will be different in my new vehicle?

I have not transitioned between too many cars in my life, so I don't know what the contract may be like. Can you post your opinion about how you think this change in cars will be?

Also, women have commented that my 91 Honda Accord was the ugliest, most unchivalrous car they had ever seen, and the refused to respond to my calls after driving in my rustmobile, is there a consensus (in contrast to a 91 Honda Accord), how a women will react to a 4Runner?

Welcome to the Forum. I'm sure you'll have great experiences with you newly acquired 4Runner. I've only had mine for 4 months and I absolutely love it !!!!

The women will be falling all over you and fighting amoungst themselves to get into your truck and once the winner gets in she will want to take her clothes off and never get out! :angel: :arrow:



The ride will be as good or better than the accord, IMO. Plus the 4Runner has alot of advantages you just can't get or have with an accord.

I am getting rid of a '91 Honda Accord Rustbucket EX (with 160k miles) in the fall to get my '05 4Runner. Wanted to get the SE with the V8 and side air bags, but dealer couldn't get the order to go through for 2004 because of the changeover to the '05 model year at the factory.

After driving the limited for a day from the dealer (just to get me to buy one), I hated going back to the Honda... You'll love the 4Runner, and the chicks will leave their numbers on the windshield for you!

SUV's are much more hip than 14 year old 4dr rusting sedans. Congrats!!

The purchaser got a great deal on it.

I invested over 10K in that car, the user got practically a brand new honda with a 400 dollar stereo, and the axel could last another 50k miles...it wasn't that bad...

yeah i have a 91 honda with 187k miles... gonna keep it as a beater. i'm trying not to put too many miles on the 4runner... but man EVERYONE does a double take. I guess it kinda helps that the highly polished black paint glistens in the street light.

Our family still has a 92 Accord Wagon. 174,000 miles, but no rust on it yet. I would have to say the 91 Accord is not a chick magnet. First off it is 13 years old. The style which they did in 1990 was patterned after the Ford Tarus and was very conserative. I might also mention, the Accord is one of the slowest cars I have ever owned.

Yes, chicks will like your new 4Runner, but just be careful they may want to drive it.

I gave my 97 Accord EX w/ 88K to my wife. I got the new 2001 Limited. Who's the big winner? Unfortunately, she'll get the next new car. She wants a Land Cruiser. I'll be bumming then for sure.

OT...When I went to pick her up for our first date, she said she thought I drove a Pickup. She said she was surprised I drove an Accord. I still like to drive the accord every once in a while. Its like driving a race car.

I liked my 91 Accord EX so much, I kept it when I got my '03 SR5. But then I also kept my wifes 91 Accord LX. We do like them Accords.......... But I did get rid of my 86 Civic and the 86 S-10 Blazer, and the Civic would probably best most of the 'rust buckets' mentioned so far. That thing had so many optional 'air vents' in the floor boards, I didn't dare drive it in the rain unless I wanted to give my pants a final rinse.

I do like getting my money's worth out of a vehicle.
The Civic had 189k and the S-10 had 184k on the original 2.8 V6! And they both were still running and sold to people who were glad to get them for what I asked.

i have nearly exactly the same car, bought in CO. 04 with everything but the rear air susp. I paid 39,100 from a broker, delivered with no hassels and 25 miles on it.

You paid sticker it looks like, oh well, cpl K, you won't regret the car

Hey, how'd you get the 6 CD Changer Stereo in a LTD with NAV? It's not a standard option. Was this a dealer add on? Is it a rear changer?

BTW, 3rd row seats are not available with NAV and XRES...
