Just got a 04 4R Sport Edition V8, have few questions!!!

I just purchased a black 04 4Runner sport edition V8, I was hoping to get some of my questions answered:

1. It has 16 in rims thinking about putting 18 X 7.5 OEM rims that come with later models, do they fit?
2. What type of gas does the V8 take?
3. Would like to put a leveling kit on it, my question, is the truck has 74 K miles it is 4 X2 at what point do I replace the shocks/springs I don't want to put a leveling kit on old suspension.
4. Replacing the Alternator and battery on this truck, any gotchas I should look out for, this truck was not very well taken care off, as I am working to revive it,

all sport editions came with 17 inch rims. double check to make sure they are 16 inch rims. 16 inch rims won't clear the front brakes. this makes me believe you misread the rim size or you don't have a sport edition.

it takes regular gas.

take a look at the shocks... do they appear to be leaking? if so replace them. if you don't think it rides nice... replace them.

just check an auto parts store for alternators and batteries.

Thanks for the info, Does the 18 in rims fit in the sport edition?

they should. just test fit them. i know the front calipers stick out and can rub the back of the rim. i had problems with aftermarket 17inch rims.
