Just got Scion HU. Big MAHALOZ!!!

After reading numerous rave reviews about the Scion HU I decided to buy one. I was lucky enough to find one for $70 locally from a college kid who recently purchased a tC.

I know you all heard this before but the difference is night and day... really. I never realized how bad the stock radio sounded until I heard the "Feel" mode on the Scion deck. Install was a breeze thanks to several instructions on this board, I was able to swap my deck in about 35 mins. I love having 120 songs ready to play at my fingertips...so awesome. I don't know what the limit is on the folders but right now I have a cd with 6 folders, each with about 20 songs so that actually is better than having a 6 disc changer in my book. Those of you with Scion 6 disc changer...wth are you going to do with over 4gigs of music?

Bottom line, If you want better sounds and be able to have over 100 songs at your disposal then grab one of these right away. You can't go wrong.

Yup, I too was surprised at the difference, it's just incredible.

I got a brand new 2005 6-disc unit off ebay for $225. As for having 6-discs capabilities, I currently have 6 discs loaded, but have yet to finish listening to one! It's awesome.

Man, I can't wait for payday. It's gonna get dirty trying to put the 6-disc in the '93 4Runner.

Has anyone used the XM capabilities on theirs?

nice hawaiian. i headed down to scion at mapunapuna and they were selling it for 370 i think. its either the scion head unit or the pioneer avic-n1. i need to start seraching local scion owners with swapped decks.

Howzit Dr. Bonez, getting a nav unit in Oahu is useless...most of them don't work in Hawaii and even if they do, they suck. It's much better to pull over and ask someone.

Go visit forumshawaii.com to find local scion owners who might be selling their stock decks. That's how I found mine. I'm still looking for a 6 disc deck so when I do I'll sell you mine.

the reason im considering a nav unit is because i do deliveries for my restaurant in my 4runner, and bringing out the map is a hassle. but that scion 6 disc HU is just too damn sweet. oh yeah, dvd for traffic is always a plus.

The Scion HU plays MP3 discs ... you can put over 100 songs in MP3 format on a CD.
