That gas tank skid looks strong

It sure is! and it also offers more protection around the sides of the tank since it is built with a continuous lip all the way around. :thumb:

I've seen sliders that are angled upwards, but I haven't come cross any that also have a flat platform as a step in a addition to the angle. Typically if you have a flat platform step they look more like running boards.

I like the looks of these, pretty cool.

Thank you! I wanted to create a slider that combined both of those great qualities. So far i have not found another company that offers sliders with the same type of setup.

Looks like you make some great products! I'm in the market for a 4R and if I close on one tomorrow I would love to get a set of these.... A GB would be great as the canadian dollar is garbage right now!!

Sliders look great. Liking the whole frame plate,legs with gussets and the dimple died plates. I'm also a trail without KDSS. Is the Fargo coupon still valid or possible ground buy maybe?

Alright. My set of Trail sliders are done at the powder coaters so they are going on weekend after next once I pick them up. I plan on having another person helping me but what's the easiest way to get these mounted?

From the pictures earlier in this thread it appears that they are propped up by jack stands then maneuvered into place. Is this the recommended method? Also what needs to come off in order to place the slider? KDSS lines need to be moved so the slider can slide underneath then those brackets are placed on the slider itself when mounted?

Will upload pics once I pick them up.

As for the install, yes an extra person and jack stands are helpful for sure. You will need to remove all of the hardware holding the KDSS lines and hydraulic box to the side of the frame so that they can be pulled away from the frame far enough for the sliders mounting plate to slide in between the lines and the frame. Then all of the lines get bolted back into their original positions.

Also you will need to take the bolts out of the fuel tank skid plate and let the skid hang down so that the lower rock slider mounting plate can slide in between the bottom of the frame and the skid plate.

We recommend starting with the bolts at the very top of the rock slider mounting plate first. Lift up on the outside of the slider to tip it up towards the vehicle a bit and then install the top bolts loosely. Then pull the slider down tight against the frame and install the remaining bolts on the side of the frame rail. Install the bolts along the bottom of the frame last.

Once all of the bolts are installed loosely, then you can tighten all of them down.

are the step plates screwed down w/ self tapping screws and locktite, or are they bolted in? just wondering about how vibration over time might affect how well they stay fastened. sliders look awesome, btw.
