After 130k, I decided to preventatively replace the CVs even though I have no signs of clicking/noise.
Truck is lifted 3-4 inches (OME 885 + Bilstein 5100 + Toytec top out spacer). Diff drop. LR UCAs. 34 inch wheel/tire setup. Here's an old photo of the angle of CV.
Went with stock Toyota CVs again. Which means the boot is likely to spit grease and leak again.
Are there any precautions I should take now while they are still new? Replace the bands with newer rounded hose clamps?
What do you guys recommend?
