Just rolled 47k on my 06 sport

Man they rack up fast . I was like man another 1000 miles . It seems like last week I did my 45k oil, lube, filter.

We are going to look at new cars this weekend , wife wants a new Rav and to dump her Escape since its now starting to have a few problem and left her stranded last week and I had to go over to her and have it flat bedded to the dealer ...... fuel pump , also front end is making a heck of a noise. Nothing that can't be fixed but she gets paranoid of something when it leaves her stranded. It has 45K miles on it. and is an 04 AWD V6.

She want to take a road trip tomorrow with her sister and is hinting about taking my 4R.......... we can't have that now can we ....lol. She can have it if she feel better about the trip , the bad news is I'll be running around town with the Escape ......... I'll have to put a bag over my head so noboby sees me

Maybe Daddy needs a new T4R? It sounds like she accrues miles much slower than you do. If she likes your T4R they're cutting great deals on them now... Do you have the desire to try an '08 in a different color? Maybe it gets you goat every day that you don't have a VSC off switch:lmao: :biggrin2: :biggrin2:

Good luck. I like the RAV4's that I have rented. The only one that wasn't quite right was the AWD 4cyl. Needed more juice.

What about a Forester wagon? I've thought they were neat.

Basically I'll let her get what she wants . I would not be unacceptable. to that. My local dealer has an exact truck like mine , except Silver & 6cyl , but has the side air bags I want.

Hey if it fell into place great , but I'm not pursuing it. just want her to get something she wants . She actually thinks the 4R is to big. ....... women !!

Falls, since you are the moderator of a 4Runner board, it would be only right for you to buy a 2008! Tell the wife that story and maybe you will be driving around in a brand new truck.

Wow, some of you do a lot of driving! My 2005 4Runner barely has 48K and I thought that was excessive.

Drive the Escape for a couple days and tell her, "Dear, we can't leave me stranded out there either can we? I'm going to trade this thing in..." Waala, you got yourself an '08. Normally, I'm not deceptive, but just trying to help a fellow member out.

I told her this AM before she left early ( I was still sleeping ) that it was full of gas an ready to go if she wanted to take it , BUT this morning I got up and it was still sitting in the garage.

Hopefully the goofy noises the Escape is making will take her one her little day trip and back . its only 2 hours away so if I need to go get her for some reason I will. She is with her 2 sisters , so atleast she's not by herself.

The man's way of thinking you guys have is great , and yes that would be great but ( not in the real world ....lol ) Actually she's very cool and would let me get a new one or do what ever I wanted.

Actually, you're missing the point.

CJ3Flyer mentioned how they are making great deals on the 4Runner right now. So, if he buys one and gets a good deal, he can use the magic words: "Dear, it was ON SALE!!"

Correct , just like the Mazda Tribute also.

Just like Scion , Toyota & Lexus .

Mazda being the slightly cheaper version , the Escape (Ford) being in the middle and the Mercury being the over priced version.
