Hi guys/gals -
I just came across this forum and it seems to have some great info, so I decided to join in the fun. I have a bone-stock '99 SR5 2wd auto that I use to tow my racecar and my 2 big ass dogs with.
I bought it with 78k on the odo and now have around 125k. It's been a great truck so far and I haven't had any issues, so I haven't had a need to dive into it. I'm thinking about getting into some maintenance on it, so this site might really come in handy. Mostly I want to address things that relate to towing and drivetrain to keep this thing running well.
By searching, I've already found some great info on timing belt/water pump replacement and ATF + rear diff fluid replacement. Looks like I'll be puting off the t-belt for a while since the interval is 90k and the motor seems to be non-interference (it's 60k on my Hondas) and giving my sister's boyfriend (and Amsoil dealer) a call for the ATF and gear fluid. Thanks to the contributors in those threads. As I get into messing with this thing, I hope I can contribute back to the community.
