JVC KWAV61BT - anyone have this head unit?

I need something to replace the OEM unit. Not looking for the mamma jamma unit, just something low priced. Has good reviews, just wanted to see if anyone has this in their 4th gen.

I was actually looking at that same HU, or one that is very similar before I had to put a hold on my mod budget.
In the past, I never would have bought a JVC product. However, now that they've been bought by Kenwood, I've considered it. That KW in the model name actually stands for Kenwood

I went to look at it at Best Buy tonight. Seems really nice. I think I'm going to get it from Amazon....274 compared to 349 is a no brainer. Going to get the bypass brake override as well, maybe even the back up camera....I got used to it on my Tacoma...makes hooking up to a trailer super easy!!!

Pulled the trigger and got it from Amazon. JVC cables coming from Crutchfield. Should be here tomorrow.

So I installed it tonight. Love it. Makes the stock system look and sound like an AM radio from a 78 Chevy Chevette.

I have an iPhone 5, so I had to buy a 30 pin to lightning connector....and I did not realize that Apple did not include video out on this new lightning connector. What a bunch of crap Apple is. Wish I never got sucked into their products. Either way.....Blue tooth is awesome, on screen touch is great, video is great, etc....Really like it.

all of my phone contacts are there, favorites, etc....

I don't have one but I sell them, that price is only 4.00 more than dealer cost it is a very good unit and that is a stellar price!

Head Unit Question

When I went to Amazon to look for a head unit it said that it will not fit the 4runner. This is the same one you guys are talking about that DOES fit though right?

Well it fits mine freaking just fine!!! LOL. You have to buy the kit. Check with Crutchfield.
