The biggest thing to worry about here is rock chips and cracked windshields from the gravel CDOT uses. The Mag Chloride they spray isn't anywhere near as bad as the salt used other places. The only rust I've found anywhere on my rig is the leading edge of my sliders where the paint was sandblasted off, and that's just some easily treatable surface rust. Plus, I think I've washed it a whole 3 times in the last 2 years.

I actually just noticed late last month I had about a 3" horizontal crack top passenger side. I can only assume it came from a flung rock, but I don't know for sure. I need to see if it's treatable from spreading more. I really don't want to replace my windshield. The first thing that came to mind was I'd lose my offroad park stickers in the top passenger corner and one of those parks is no longer around so it's not replaceable

Anyways, I'm not really concerned with the rust. Like you said, the mag chloride mix they use isn't nearly as corrosive as salt mixes.

Well I said bye bye to the rear CBI a couple weekends ago. Back to having no ass. Yes, it's sad cus of how much time I put towards saving for it, but I need to put some work in other areas of the truck to make sure it stays chugging along. The extra money is nice to have in this situation. I have a few plans in the works, a Diamond axle might be one of them :behindsofa:

As for other stuff, just some routine maintenance coming up in preparation for the 200k mark. It's creeping up on me quickly. Currently at 195ish. Will be doing new valve cover gaskets soon and get a good idea on how the internals look. Hoping for a squeaky clean engine!

A big update is that I'm changing career paths. On Monday (02/01/16) I start work for a local offroad fabrication company that specializes in steel/aluminum bumpers, skids, sliders, etc... They are mainly in the Ford/Nissan/Toyota Market with a heavy emphasis on Toyota R&D. I'm looking forward to seeing where this career takes me professionally and hoping it also takes me to the next skill level of this passionate hobby of mine. It's been nearly 10 years I've been doing this stuff for fun and it's time I make money while I'm at it

I will be attending A LOT of events now throughout the year, and future years to come. So, I hope to see and meet a lot of you guys and make some good connections all around.

Thanks! I'll be in multiple positions in the company but my overall position will be Sales & Marketing.

The company as of right now has not put much R&D in the 3rd gen market. They do have some 1st gen tacoma products but their designs are outdated and need to be redone. Plans currently are to work on the '15 Tacoma products. I'm certain there will be some 3rd gen products in the near future.

They do have a website but it is pretty outdated. They really haven't dedicated much time towards it. That's where I come in!

Right? I'm ready to ditch this damn ARB bumper as well. From an entry to armor standpoint, it's a great (meh, good) upgrade. Doing what I do now, it's too bulky and clunky.

The "bulky" part is what tipped me toward getting rid of mine. I hung up on it too often when crawling. That, and the half off thing I got on the Addicted bumper. I ended up getting $600 for my ARB, which paid for the new bumper and then some.

Damn, you got $600 for yours!? I'll be lucky to get $400 lol. I abuse the crap out of it. Hell, If I'm at a down hill slope and have to stop and get out, I'll try to find a tree to park it against lol. I've brushed it up against MANY rocks and trees and the middle skid section that detaches flew off on the interstate lmao. I'm making a great selling point for myself aren't I?
