K&N FIPK vs. WARRANTY ???

Okay! I was scheduled next Friday to fix a broken window switch. However, a buddy of mine brought up some concern regarding to the K&N FIPK kit that I've installed ten days ago. Since I already had some problems with this vehicle. He thought I better of remove the K&N and reinstall the original air box before heading down to dealer. You never know if this time they noticed the K&N on my engine, and later if I have any problem with the engine then they'll use it as an excuse to void the warranty. This sounds very much as a precaution, but I think that better of listen to him. I just hate to spend hours to get it remove. What do you guys think? Anybody has a bad experience with a similar issue? BTW, the K&N fipk sounds great, and is a bit too loud for my taste in the late night driving. I doens't help much in gas mileage. I'm thinking of remove it tomorrow. What would you do? Thanks

Just for safe keeping how about you put it in the box and mail it to me you think it's to loud anyway
