Anyone have a good First Aid kit they plan on bringing? I don't have one put together as of right now, need to fix that...

Basic first aid yes and I carry a small fire extinguisher as well. Hi lift extreme jack here as well. My slider adapter hasn't made it yet so we will rely on petro's.

I know there is a lot of excitement but starting to get a little out of hand.

My goal is to beat the storms back to OKC, so 1) we need to leave earlier (I'd recommend 7am) and/or I may bail out at a turn off pending timing.

Not at all overdoing it, just coming prepared... Look through this trip report to see why we need to have a chainsaw in the group.

Plus, who knows what kind of limbs/trees have fallen across the trail with today's storms...

Sawzall is for cutting smaller limbs and trees down, if needed, so we don't have to break out a chainsaw and fire it up.

Hey guys, some of you may not care but if you want to help avoid trail rash, put a fresh layer of wax on the sides of your rig. (Fenders and doors up to the roof line in back) It doesn't take much time and it makes a huge difference on tight OK trails. I was in the Honobia area last weekend and everything is growing. Lots of pine and hardwood branches on the sides and growing up the center of the trails.

There was also a group of about 35 Texas Jeeps heading up the K-trail so you probably will not be alone.

Agree. Probably overkill. A bow saw will do what a sawzall will (on limbs). But, if someone wants to bring one, good for them. I don't want to spend TOO Much time clearing the trail. As far as I'm concerned, we only clear it if it makes the trail impassable. We're not there for trail maintenance. I'm sure we're all on the same page with this since we do want to get through in a timely manner.

I'll be headed down tomorrow after I get off work. Boss said hopefully early (I don't know if I believe him... He's let me down before :flipoff: )

I've got the cb together and setup however I have figured out the issue I have been having with it. The internal speaker does not work! (Pretty big issue I think). So I need to stop somewhere tomorrow and get an external speaker to install tomorrow night at the camp ground. Anyone have a suggestion on somewhere I can pick up one on the way down that won't be total crap? I will probably stop here at Radio Trash *cough* Shack and see what they have. I would think a truck stop would carry some but I don't know that I plan on driving by any.

Look forward to meeting you all tomorrow. I'll be rolling into the campground probably around 8-9 if tomorrow goes how I think it will go.

Truck stop would be your best bet for sure. If you're taking hwy75 then I'm sure you'll come across one!
