Kenwood DNX8120 and stock integration

What I currently have:
2006 V8 Limited
Factory nav
Bluetooth
JBL
Backup camera
Rear seat flip down screen/DVD (factory installed)
Autostart 2 way remote start.

What I'd like to do is have a Kenwood DNX8120 put in as a "post deployment" present to myself.

What I'm looking for:

1. Alaska coverage (well at least for the next year or so) from my navigation system.
2. Keeping functionality of Bluetooth/back-up camera in that order.
3. Ipod integration beyond the aux cable.

Questions:

1. Will it integrate with all of the above mentioned items without having to replace them with aftermarket accessories as well or do a bunch of rewiring/extra module installation?

2. Should I just upgrade the navigation DVD in the toyota navigation system and add one of the vaistech SL2VI kits?

I'm not necessarily going to upgrade past the JBL system it currently has but it is a possibility as I already have a 4 channel amp, speakers and sub I removed from my Acura RSX which are currently sitting in my basement unused.

Great questions! I have the same stock setup and I am interested in doing what you plan on doing with swapping for a Kenwood DNX8120.

Hopefully someone can chime in on how to do this.

Ok, so obviously the DNX8120 is going to replace your NAV and Bluetooth, so you won't have to worry about those. You could probably even install the mic in the factory location. For backup camera, there should be a connector on the back of the factory unit that looks like the file I attached...

Pins 21-24 are the camera wires...
21 - White - Camera Ground
22 - Red - Video +
23 - grey - Video -
24 - Black - Camera 12V+

I think pin 5 is reverse trigger so you'll connect that to the Kenwood purple/white wire. It's been a while since I did this one, so just make sure you test before you connect anything!

As far as rear seat entertainment, I'm not sure. You should be able to do that as well but I don't have access to Alldatapro at the moment so I can't verify.

Thanks tarheeltp17! Any help on integrating the factory rear seat entertainment with the DNX8120 would be very helpful.

From the sounds of it the swap should be relatively painless through the use of a Metra harness and Scosche trim kit right?

The key will be maintaining steering wheel control, bluetooth, reverse camera and rear entertainment with the DNX otherwise the swap might be a net loss.
