just got my 09 limited and wanted to make a thread of my mods to come, advice, and help.
so to start this is what i got friday morning

this is my 09 limited 4x4 with leather seats, nav, jbl, double deck cargo, and Xreas(removed and installed 5100's with tacoma trd offroad coils set on .85 and fj rear coils. i got it with 45k(71k as of 7/15) miles and no scratches.
today was my first full day with the truck so i did a few small things. first was clear plasti dip on rear TOYOTA emblem and 4runner emblem. i did learn not to plasti dip in the wind. i had a lot of over spray.

Usually toyotapartszone.com is about as cheap as it gets and they're typically reliable. You may save a dollar somewhere else but with shipping you're gonna be close.

went to the park near me the first week and tested 4 low.
the curb i climbed was a railroad tie. pulled up to it and had about half an inch of space between it and the skid plate. it climbed in 4low diff open just fine, when i went to go back down i dropped it on the front skid plate.

also got a smittybilt tow hook.

plasti dip emblems and grill. emblems are clear and grill is black. still need to take the grill apart so i can take the front emblem off to do a different color.

some might know but i swapped to LED's in the running boards.

yep. it was the only way to do it. i found out you cant mask over plastidip to do 2 tone so i had to take it off. turned out great after the 3rd try. first can was bad so i had to use another can

speaking of this, and sorry Kevin if i'm intruding on your build, just thought this would be something remotely helpful to add. After the paint job on the wheels, I have people ask me all the time where I got my wheels from. They look clean and good enough that people really think they're aftermarket wheels. You're very good with plastidip it seems, check out Gaterose' thread and his BBS wheels with the gunmetal-colored plastidip, would look great on your silver.

I had them done locally, and it was relatively expensive, but I believe that is because he is the only guy in a 2 hour radius who was available to do it, so he can basically charge a premium... A good painting of all 4 for me was 400. The powdercoater in Montgomery was a little less expensive, but if you build in gas money to make it to him and back, it would have been around the same. I personally would love to see them powdercoated, they're great looking rims, and a different finish really does set them off well. You can check out mine, HOJeepster, or Gaterose's build threads to see some different choices of color for the rims.

Got the rest of the parts to do this, now just need to work on mounting bracket. Made a 7 pin to 4 pin adapter with another wire out for reverse

Working on mounting. Anyone know the thread for the rear tow hook bolts? Got bolts for the other spots I'm mounting at but need a bolt for the bolt hole above the exhaust
