So I ordered a key fob from ebay (this one) last week and got it cut and programmed relatively easily. However, 3 days later, the battery it came with died. No big deal I figured, it had probably been sitting there for years. I bought the replacement for it, and changed it that day. Then today, 2 days later, the new battery died again. Has anybody experienced this or have any idea why it may be happening? It's cold outside (30-40 degrees), and I've spent a few hours outside, but I don't feel like that should be enough to kill it. Does anybody else have any ideas?

I did a search on the battery dying, just came up with general replacements.

But seriously, those cheap aftermarket ones you find on ebay are a hit or a miss...I'd contact the seller and return it before you spend anymore money on batteries...

Well that's misleading, I wouldn't consider a battery problem being in a "successful" swap thread lol. Thanks for the help, I'll take a look at it now.
Well it was successful until the batteries started dying lol.

Mine was "successful" for about 36 hours the first time and less than 2 hours the second time.
Those key fobs are junk. Don't waste your money.
