Key fob question?

But to sum it up, no it won't work. It has to have the FCC ID HYQ12BBX stamped on it.
The 2007 FJ Cruiser had our remotes and FCC ID but without the window roll down button. In 2008-2009 the FJ got the Landcruiser's key with FCC ID HYQ12BBT. Some people on the FJ forum said they got the 2008-2009 key to work on a 2007. So not sure if it will work on the T4R. Note though, whatever you do try make sure you get a Toyota key with a dot on the metal blade right below the rubber (only on one side). In 2010+ most of the Toyota keys have a "G" stamped on it instead of the dot. (Different type of transponder chip for the engine immobilizer supposedly).

I'll keep everyone posted in the first thread I posted above. I'm working with a guy that is trying to make a remote that will go in the Camry key you mentioned that will work with our T4R's. The last one we tried didn't quite work. He's doing some adjustments and if it works he will start selling them on eBay.

I have an update. The key works great, the remote is 75% of the way there. Lock and unlock work as does the back window, but the panic button does not work. I'm awaiting another test remote and as soon as it's working 100% they will be on eBay.
When it's done it will work with 2005-2009 4Runners,FCCID HYQ12BBX. (2003-2004 had a different FCCID.)

That's awesome! I'm pretty excited about this. Hopefully it all works out. How much do you think you'll sell them for once it's all said and done?
 
I think he is going to sell them for about $70/each. Programming chip and fob is easy and I had my dealer cut my key from the VIN so it's not a copy.
 
Not to bring this thread back from the dead, but I am curious what the outcome of all of this is. I'm really interested in getting a single key to do all of it. Thanks!
 
Buy this: New Toyota 4Runner Sequoia Keyless Entry Key Remote Fob Combo Uncut 4 Button | eBay

And have key cut by VIN at dealer. Program the key and fob per instructions on this website.

Note: This key doesn't have a logo. If you want the logo buy an empty shell from amazon (something like this: Amazon.com: 4 Buttons Remote Key Shell Case for Toyota Camry RAV4 Avalon Matrix Venza Yaris No Chips Inside CMII ID:2009DJ1030 MODEL:12BCM-01: Camera & Photo) and just take the front case with the logo and transfer to the one you got from eBay. I hope that helps.

Has anyone tried these? I'm excited to grab a couple, but I'd like to hear from some people who have them first.

Stay away from this key

Purchased the first one and it programmed fine, both doors and anti-theft chip. Ordered a second, would not work. Vendor said I couldn't have programmed the first one as it is only dealer programmable. Sent him the procedure from this forum and he still would not accept I did it my self. Ended up doing a PayPal dispute and got a refund for the second one purchased. In addition, the first one will not remember the door code for long. Have to program it about every two weeks. Tried the battery fixes mentioned in that thread, no joy. Now it sits in a drawer. In conclusion, this is not a good purchase no matter how you look at it.

Hate to resurrect a dead thread but has anyone have a Toyota all in one key reliability working on our 4th gen's?

I got a one of the all in one flip keys working (hyq12bbx) on my 04. Problem is its clunky and someone always rolls the rear window down.

I would like to get a OEM Toyota key to work.

I tried a 06 Avalon key(HYQ12BBY) and I cannot get it to program and instead of trying all the HYQ12BB* all in one keys I figured I would ask.

Any luck with the Land Cruiser HYQ12BBT?
