key stuck

got in my runner after work today and my key was stuck.... it wouldnt turn at all. sometimes it locks up with the steering wheel but usually if you turn it hard it goes but this time wouldnt budge. this happen to anyone else before?

I finally got it by shaking the steering wheel like hell while someone turned the key really hard.

I just want to know if this is going to happen again

It's definitely a known issue. I've had it happen to me in my '90 4Runner and my '00 4Runner. Whenever you park, make sure the steering wheel is level or close to it and the wheels are straight forward. Rocking the steering wheel back and forth is the best way to solve the problem if it happens again
