keyfob programming

First post BTW - Just picked up a silver '01. Pretty stoked!! Anyway, it only came with one keyfob. The dealer gave me one with the same FCC ID. I ran thru the programming instruction sequence and got to the part where the keyfob itself is actually programmed. But it doesn't seem to want to accept the program... if that makes any sense at all. Anyone else have or know what I'm doing wrong?
