Keyless Entry Fob for '98 SR5?

Does your car have the security module underneath the (drivers seat - I think)? If so, then you have the factory system installed. I am pretty sure a 98 SR5 would use the black Toyota keyfob - just search Ebay and you will see. There is a gray one and a black one - gray will not work.

Gray will work as well. I have a 98 SR5 that came with the gray fob and had no problems with it. There is a sticky with reprogramming instructions at the top of the page.
Good to know - I think I read somewhere that gray wouldnt work. Can't believe everything you read

I found an ECU from a Toyota Camry - an RS3000 and it has the part #: 08190-00921
Slightly different numbers! the last two digits are different - 930 versus 921.

and it worked in your 4runner? lol dont tell me that..my girlfriend has a camry...ill go rip hers out right now!
i think the difference between the 930 and 921 may be the ability to roll the rear window? what remote did you use?Similar threads
