My remote just suddenly stopped working 2 weeks after I purchased my 02. Changed battery but no dice.

No go for me
These are a no go for me (could be that I need a different remote since mine is an 02 SR5?). I did the programming multiple times just to be sure, I'm sending them back to the eBay seller.
My results as follows:
Lock button works fine after programming
Unlock never worked, even after multiple attempts to program. Sometimes the button seemed to do nothing, and even went sideways into a position where it was stuck almost. Didn't feel right at all.
The biggest issue of all of that based on my research... the Toyota alarm requires a keyless remote to open your door if it was previously locked with said remote the time before. So when I could only open with my key, the alarm kept going off.
Not sure what I did to finally clear that, but I finally got the alarm stopped and regained key unlock ability so I decided the keyless remotes aren't really worth the hassle to me after all.
