There is another really cheap toyota parts store in Dubai or Qatar or some weird place like that which is supposed to be good too, but I forgot the name. It looked sketchy so I research it a while ago and it's legit, a lot of people from Canada like to use it. I was going to order some stuff but never got around to it. Anyone know the name?

I looked at the website, and put in the part number for the ITRE and it came back and said "Tie Rod", "Non-Original Replacement".
Anyone know why it says "Non-original Replacement"?

It might be the same one. I noticed some of the parts were originating out of Dubia while others from Japan. It shows you on site the origin when you select a part.

I'm thinking about ordering all my timing belt parts from this site. Some things are a little cheaper, but others are WAY cheaper. Every part I can think of to replace including crank timing pulley, timing cover seal, crank pulley bolt, hoses, etc etc. Total is $325 + shipping.

Counterfeit auto parts are rampant in Dubai, and that area of the middle east, in general. It has been a big problem for awhile.
There is no way I'd buy any critically important auto parts from questionable sources.

the price there is CRAZY, local stealership charges 122 for a single LBJ, it's 56 there.
IDK if OEM, but from japan, should be close/OEM.

Holy crap I didn't realize ITRE and OTRE were THAT expensive.
As someone mentioned, AZ rebadges some stuff as "Duralast". I had my friend call in all the local ITRE and OTRE for me, and I was able to get all 4 pieces for $110. Your luck may vary, but it's worth a shot if you know the parts guy decently. My ITRE and OTRE all came OEM with 2 days of patience.
Food for thought if your on a budget as I was.

Ok I found the site again, it was partsouq.com in UAE. I planned on getting a new plastic transmission cover and some other frivolous parts which were cheap from there, but never got around to it.

I've tried, but they were either discontinued (parts for an 87 Supra) or more expensive than the parts from Japan. Post up and let us know once you get the stuff in. I think they'll be legit if coming through Amayama.

I'm also a soon to be new convert to the Amayama-O-Rama. I'm just going big and getting the ITR, OTRE, and two u-joints hoping that the shipping will stay below $75 to make it worth it for the OTRE's and the u-joints ($35 vs 56 at CamelBack).
I read the comment about the UAE warehouses, and it has me a little nervous about counterfeiting. I can't tell if the skepticism expressed here was just because it's UAE (you know...because evil-doers and terrorists and jihadi's, oh my!) and someone thinks that just because there are reports of counterfeited parts for the most popular trucks in that part of the world means that all parts are counterfeited, or if someone has direct experience with the UAE warehouses?
The UAE warehouse prices are significantly cheaper than the Japanese ones ($36 vs 51 for OTREs), but I'm also wondering if that cost savings disappears with the shipping. The first order request I put in was for ITRs and it was $35 for shipping, the second request was for ITRs and OTREs and the shipping was $50. I just put in a new request for ITRs, OTREs, and U-Joints, and I swear, that's the last one!

Any update on parts from UAE through Amayama? I want to order ITR in the near future and the price from UAE is ~10 bucks cheaper than Japan on the site.

I ended up getting mine from the Japan source because I think the shipping ended up being more expensive from UAE or something like that. It made sense months ago when I got the order quotes, but I can't quite remember now.
I don't regret it either way, and it was a great deal. I think I got the OTRE's from Camelback because it wasn't that much of a deal through Amayama.

I just requested a quote for LBJs from Japan as they were much cheaper than the option from UAE.
However the ITR and OTR are 50 dollars cheaper overall from UAE verses Japan and shipping is almost the same, plus everything is in stock from UAE so I will take the risk. Company is legit and seems straightforward so I'm not too worried.
Do you recall what shipping option you ended up choosing?

Can't say I do. Sorry! I think there's only one option for shipping from Japan to the US, but don't quote me on that.
Post up how the UAE route goes for you. I'm sure it'll be fine, and I think the transit time is better for you guys on the East Coast than it is for those of us in the West. Cheers!
