Knightsfs4 Build Thread

No worries man, you're gonna get that thing high in the sky eventually. Just placed an order for those LED license plate lights. Thanks for the heads up on those!!

You doing the interior too? When you do the license plate lights make sure you clean the lenses over the bulbs. Mine were filthy on the inside. Made a big difference.

I'm gonna do the interior "eventually" haha. Only doing the license plate lights for now. I'll make sure to get everything clean in there. The mod bug has hit me really hard this summer and I'm running out of moneys :crybaby:

Here is a side profile shot that I took last night just to show how high the lift is from a different angle.

Just installed my OME 885s and top plate spacer today! Couldn't be happier! Now I just need to get some superflex coils and I'll be set.

I have the same truck.
Thanks for the incentive.
I have work to do now.
Great job!
Looks like I'll be pluckin the xreas and ras.
Bilstein coil over kit, Daystar 3/2 some spidey spacers, who know what tires i'll end up with. Can't wait to renew the look n feel of this beast. Now considering an Eaton Supercharger kit.:toilet:

Did you install aftermarket headlights or do those come on the 06...I have an 04 and like the look of the headlights, thinking about buying??

The headlights come stock on 06s-09s. The HIDs are aftermarket, but there are some people who have retrofitted their headlights to fit years like yours. Gaterose is a member who did it, go check out his build thread.

Good looking runner, I came across this build thread after searching the pioneer deck, I'm getting the same and glad to here from someone who already has it. I think I'll try the steering wheel remote adapter you used also; I wasn't going to bother, but it seems like you didn't have to much trouble with it so might as well keep them working.

How bad is the mpg with it all lifted like that?
I'm trying to pick my lift height based on what tire size I want to run based off the mpg loss.

Well the lift isn't what makes your mileage bad, it's the tires. When I lifted my car and had stock tires I noticed zero change in gas mileage. Then when I went to my 275s, which are muds, I lost around 2mpgs. I did get some of it back with performance mods though. I get around 15mpgs now. I'd say don't worry about gas mileage. I was worried before and now I wish I had gone with a 275/70/18 or 285/70/18. The next set of tires will be bigger than the ones I have on here for sure. My mileage may suck, but when I wake up every morning and look at my car I always smile and forget about it :D

Thanks, and I hear that!

I know the lift doesn't affect mpg much, but I'm basing the lift height off what tires I decide on. I don't want the lift any higher than needed to accommodate whatever tires I decide on. I'm currently thinking front 5100's at the 1.75" setting, and nothing extra, or very little, in back, with 255/75/17's, 265/70/17's, or maybe 275/70/17's, all with spidertrax. I hate excess wheel well gap.

I've got other vehicles on 37's and 35's, but this one is mostly a highway/street runner except for the weekend excursions, so mpg is a big factor. If it wasn't, I'd probably have it looking very very close to what you have there!

So I never ventured in here before today and never seen pictures of your truck other than your avatar. That thing sits up pretty high, really diggin the stance.

So just a thought......throw me some mod money haha jk but seriously if you ever decide to get rid of your limited wheels to get aftermarket let me know because i really want the limited editions 18's preferably soon because i am getting new tires :thumb3: also will come get them from you lol wicked rig man love it

Very nice! The BL really added a lot to the truck's height (well, 1" Ha). I've already got around 4" of lift on mine but I am wanting a little more. I've been toying with the idea of a 1" BL as well but wasn't sure if it was worth it for just 1". However, as I said, it seems to have made a big visual difference on your truck. I may have missed them but is there any way you could post some measurements (Fender to Ground and Fender to Hub). I appreciate it.

Well it's been a long couple weeks for me but I am back in school so the modding has slowed a bit. I did just install my LED license plate lights that I got from V-LEDs.com (Shoutout to Joe for the idea!). Attached is a pic of my LEDs/HIDs at night

Ark, to you happen to know if....

Wow, looks so much better than stock! Those Coopers are really going to finish things off, going to be a very nice setup. You're welcome for the help, it was a long road but so worth the trip if you know what I mean. Glad you're satisfied with the results.

....anybody makes a bull bar and a grille guard that i can mount on my 2007 4Runner Sport edition? I already have a Steel..... bull bar en route, but they tell me that I can't run one of their grille guards in conjunction with their bull bar because they would "interfere" with each other. I'm guessing that most other manufacturers would tell me the same thing. Do you know any way around this? Or do you know any manufacturer that has already taken such things into account? Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanx in advance.
