Knock sensor bank 2

Hey guys so on my 06 I had a engine code thrown yesterday so I had it ran and it turned out to be a knock sensor in bank 2?

I don't know much but I know it's not easy work to replace, and like every fairytale ends the code went away after it was ran as if it 'erased' itself.

What could be the cause.....?
Bad wiring?
Bad sensor (do they really go bad like this?)
False code reading?

It hasn't been a day yet since it went away so I will monitor the truck carefully. Now I'm just afraid to push the truck more than the speed limit.

170xxx it's early in the game to experience this I feel like. ANY HELP please

In my instance it was a rat that chewed up the wiring near the connector to the knock sensor. What i did was disconnect the knock sensor, solder the two wires back, and reconnect everything. It did take some time though because i only took the intake manifold off and not the metal coolant lines. Its a super tight fit to get your hand in between the block and the coolant line but its possible.
