Knocking noise under body in 86 4runner

Hi, I just signed up with a question about my 1986 4runner sr5. I just bought it a few days ago and all is going pretty well, except for a knocking sound under the body, might be coming from somewhere around the drive shaft. it only makes the sound when i am shifting down gears to stop. anyone have any idea what this might be?

Moved your thread to the 1st Gen section for you.
Could be a bad u-joint on the driveshaft, or even loose bolts where the driveshaft bolts to the flange(s).
