Good evening. It has been a fun couple of days for the old Runner. She got new shoes on Thursday. 285/75/16 Falken-Rocky Mtn ATS 2. They ride great and just barely fit. Going to play in the dirt with them tomorrow.
Today, she got lifted. A week ago I met a guy with a lifted 4Runner at home depot. It had a nice lift and looked great. After a bit of chatting, I found out he had lifted it with Bilstein shocks, Tundra front springs and OME rear springs. Oddly enough, I had just read about the same lift the night before. He had great feedback and I decided on that lift. Now, with that said, there have been numerous changes in Bilstein's part numbers. It took a bit to make heads or tails of all of it. This is what I ordered:
2x Bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks. Part #24-188265
2x Bilstein rear shocks. Part #24-014786
1 pair of OME 890 rear springs. Also found as OME 2890
TRD Tundra front springs. Part #48131-AF090 (right) and 48131-AF100 (left)

Part numbers:
The front shocks have had their part numbers revised twice.
BE5-6929-HO became BE5-6929-H1 and then 24-188265
The rears have been revised once.
B46-1478 became 24-014786
It turned out great. The ride is incredibly nice. It had blow factory shocks before this. The rear is a tad stiff but of no real trouble. I did set the front shocks on their lowest height settings. I will probably raise this one notch as the front end squatted more than I had hoped. So far I'm getting a 2" lift in the front and a 3" lift in the rear. The small shock adjustment should net me another 1/2" up front.
