Ok so this will be a little long.
I was installing my lift 2 weeks ago and buggered up my OEM top plate installing the extended studs. I picked up a KYB replacement top plate and threw it on the TRD strut so that I could pull my Runner off the lift.
Fast forward 2 weeks and I've got my new replacement studs from Toytec. I pull the strut out, break it down, and pop the studs out of the KYB spacer. The Toytec extended studs slide right into the top plate! NOT GOOD! The studs on the KYB top plate are NOT the same size as the Toytec extended studs. Looks like I'll be ordering an OEM top plate from Toyota on Monday! It's a good thing I work for an auto group that includes Toyota so I get parts at 10% over cost, otherwise I would be out 65 bucks from Toyotapartsales.com.
So now it's been 2 weeks since I've driven my Runner and it's absolutely driving me crazy! Now it's gonna be another week before I will have a chance to drive it again, as the only time I have access to the shop is if I am slow on a Friday afternoon or Saturday afternoon. Wish me luck guys!
