Based on my recent dealings with both companies, it seems RCI is getting too comfortable and complacent in their customer service, while LFD is eager and hungry.

So far, I’ve had pretty quick responses from RCI and LFD.
Is the email from RCI when you place an order stating it’s on hold until payment is verified standard from RCI?
I got the same email a few weeks ago when I ordered some skids so I'm going to go with "yes."

No, I wrote to RCI asking a question about one of their skids. No reply. I called them several days later to ask the same question, got voice mail, left a message. No reply. LFD responded right away.

Ah bummer to hear you are having problems contacting them. From my experiences, they seem to struggle to responding to emails/calls when they have their sales going on. Any other time, they have always been responsive (within 24 hours) to my questions.
Though not ideal, maybe someone here cna answer your question regarding the skids?

Had a RCI engine skid and the little front spacer plate in the shopping cart with the LABORDAY2020 coupon applied and before I could finish checking out they said the coupon expired. ~11pm Pacific DST.
Oh Well... saved a lot of money.
The Toyota OEM skids are looking better all of a sudden.

I ended up ordering from them. If anything I can always dispute through my credit card.
They're not in PDT so that's no doubt why the coupon had already expired.

Should have bought the skid plate first and picked up the jack stands later.

Sorry never saw this post. Yes we’re legit and even BBB accredited. We’re a small veteran owned business, opened up shop back in June 2020 primarily for the fabrication side, but then July 2020 started retail sales.
I’m not registered on here yet for that vendor section so that is why I don’t post regarding the business, not big on breaking the rules.
And anyone on here please feel free to reach out to me, we’ll get you hooked up on pricing the best that we can. And yes, we tend to beat most anyone on Baja and Warn sales, and even Icon but many here never saw our BFCM sale or never visited us on Black Friday-Cyber Monday; we killed most of the normal vendors on here for pricing when I comp shopped, but didn’t see much traffic. I probably didn’t advertise well enough, or advertised too late in the month.
As soon as Baja gets caught back up with mfg and fulfills our stocking orders, we’ll be running another big sale.
