Your picture has a carbureted and un-catalyzed vehicle in it. The "pollution" you generate with that heap is probably more than a whole fleet of modern vehicles.
Put you money where you mouth is. Truck that thing to a crusher.
It only burns a few gallons of fuel per year. Bad gas in the tank is one of the biggest maintenance issues with it. That's one of the primary reasons I've been kicking around re-powering it with a Model S mid mounted motor system. Prices keep going down on the motors and battery packs. I use it so rarely in the last few years it's pretty low on my priority list. Either way, it's a non-issue pollution wise. I have a camp fire once in a while too...
If I were daily driving it - sure, it would be a poor choice. That's one of many reasons it's not a daily driver. Or even a weekly driver.
