Laptop OS

My old T30 is, old. I have seen some newer laptops cheap but with Vista OS. Is it like a PC, just load a 'Win 7 CD' in it? an 'upgrade CD' ?? or do laptop have priority problems with software. thanks.

nope they are the same, pc and laptops OS are identical . buy your vista laptop and drop the win7 disc in and have at it.


phones and tablets share their own thing..for now...

You don't sound like a "tech" person. I suggest you get a MacBook Air. I have one and they are awesome.

If you want to go the Windows route for a laptop then I suggest finding an UltraBook with a 3rg Gen i5 and installing Windows 7 on it. This will require you to be pretty tech smart.

If you are not very tech savy and must have a Windows laptop then get a Lenovo T430s with Windows 7 Pro with Intel i5 from Lenovo.com - that is my work PC and it is pretty great.

* Windows 7 x64
* 8GB Ram

Mid-2012 MacBook Air (~ $1100 on MacMall.com)

Big Kurosawa fan, Yes, I build a few PCs for family and friends. Lappys are different. Last 5 years I have been out of it. and life is an hourglass, glued to the table.
