Large hose

In front of the motor, there are two hoses, in this photo they are connected to the intake, if you look at where the red hoses connect to the hard lines I have them both hooked to the intake, I was told that I should never hook the large hose in the intake?? I think it went to the stock air cleaner, but not sure. Now the question, where does it go and what does it do when it gets there???

I just looked at mine and assuming the are correct the smaller of the 2 runs into the intake elbow right where you have it and the larger one hooks to the very bottom of the maf sensor housing right behind the air filter. That could be the vacuum leak that’s helping to kill your mileage. Hope this helps

I've seen some people cap both those lines off with small crankcase filter breathers. Looks like a big breather cone but shrunken :)

4 whiterunner, I checked and there is no attachment point on the MAF sensor, I think it was on the stock air intake, one of the boxes.

Keaton, that is just what I did, caped it off with an small air breather. I am still not sure what it does or where it goes, could be a breather for the right side??

Yes--there is a small box to the left of the stock intake.. Not sure what the purpose is but thats where the hose connects to.

Yeah sorry at first glance it looked like it ran to the maf but when I looked again the s&b setup relocated it into the intake box right below the maf

I thank you for the help guys, this is my first time with a Toyota, always been a chevy man, looking at all the lines and hoses gets a little confusing to me.
