Large transmission leak after towing

I recommend the largest BTU rated trans cooler you can install, especially if you are bypassing the stock trans cooler.
The BM is 14,400.
I went for a BTU rating of 20,000 with dimensions which allowed an easy install.

I was going to get the 20K one but it doesn't come with the kit and I didn't feel like running to the hardware store to build one from scratch. That and I am not bypassing the stock trans cooler (thus the new radiator) so I figure the combined cooling power should be more than sufficient.

If not, I can order the larger cooler later down the road and just swap them out and offer up a lightly used one for sale to help someone else out (minus the kit of course). I will know quickly enough after our next camping trip.

Get the 20k one i have the 14,400 BTU and i dont tow and it still gets pretty warmn up to 170 in city driving. You can order the attatchement kit online also just go on amazon thats where i get everything even fittings.

The TruCool 20K BTU cooler uses the rubber hosing and not metal lines. That's what I have on mine right now and came with the full kid to install it. I think it's the 4490 model.

Someone mentioned the B&M and TruCool are the same company, and I think they were right. The products look identical.

I have the trucool 4544 (not 4454). came with hoses, brackets, zip mounts, clamps.

Sounds like you'll be fine since you'll have a new radiator with an auxiliary cooler installed in-series.

How old is your radiator in relation to your cooler? I am installing both new at the same time. Old radiators build up over time and suffer flow issues.
