I'm starting my build and have decided that i should get a larger alternator to make sure i don't over burden my system with the winch and other accessories i will be adding.
I have decided to get the Mean Green 200 amp alternator. It says you can you the existing factory wiring and installtion is simple...not that easy of install matters.
Since i will be adding a second battery and the winch, and eventually lights and compressor at th minimum i figure the alternator should be replaced to prevent premature discharging and damage to my charing system. The Mean Green alternator will output 200 amps at 2000-2200 RPM's which seems quite good!
Has anyone else installed this brand in their rig?
