Largest tires on stock 98

What is the largest tire size that will fit without rubbing or anything else on a 98 Limited 4X4? What is the widest rim that will work also? I am looking at buying a 98 and want to see what is possible. Thanks.

to be honest i think a 75 series tire is probablly the biggest you would want to go.

I just got some wrangler mtrs for mine at 265/75/16 and they are close to rubbing inside.

get a 275 and they def will rub.

265/75s are the biggest with stock suspension with no issues.

I've got 18" Enkei wheels with 275/60/18 and they rub.

And I'm in the market for new tires.

Do you guys think going to 265 will solve that or should I also drop from 60 to 55?

most likely you are rubbing inside the well and not up top so going to a 265 would solve that issue.

i personally rub my 265/75 goodyear mtrs sometimes but not always and my solution is just going to be a 1 inch lift springs and shocks lift.

you could always trim the wheel well if you want to solve without getting new tires... saves you another grand or so

31's will be fine... anything bigger will rub. Esprcially if they are M/T's

neliconcept, dont waste your money on the PP springs if you ever plan on going taller adn fitting a 285 under you. just save up a little longer and get the OME kit for 600.... but yeah 265/75/16 all terrains are as big as i would go on a stock 4runner
