Pretty sure its already set up in the back. It feeds the the bottom of his Yeti Mug in the cup holder.....fully automated

I use the ipad for trail navs. It's worked out great in the Mojave, especially when our group got separated by taking a few alternate routes.

I'm not sure, but you could probably use a Raspberry Pi (the computer not the confection) and set up some APRS to map your friends on that iPad.

I use a few apps, and am not sure which one I prefer yet. I used MotionX on the Mojave trip, and just downloaded the new HEMA Maps app, and will see how that one does.
