LawnDart's Build Thread

Not sure. Walt spec'd them but they're All Pro springs from what I saw.

Right on. I'm running the Icon Overlander and they're pretty rigid right now, hoping they get better when I add the bumper...

Looks like you went all out on this setup though! Gonna look nice!

Thanks. The icons I have are pretty overloaded with all the weight I'm running.

Actually that's not fair to the icons. They do fine despite how much weight they deal with. But the ride quality isn't as great if I removed my cargo system and fridge.

These new shocks and long travel will be super comfy on and off road.

not entirely true. This is more like it.

Good to know. I don't anticipate having as much weight is you do, so I think I'll be okay. Thanks again!

Walt is making progress on the rears. This is full droop, barely even touching the ground.

Have you been able to look at running the rear of the exhaust up and over that back frame horn and pushing it out the side of the bumper?

The wheels and tires.... "really tie the rooom together"

I'll eventually put a 45 degree slant cut in the exhaust, just for resonance and even better clearance, but I talked with CBI and they don't do exits in the bumper because it was causing the powder coat to turn funky.

I suppose I could do it myself, but for now I'm happy with the exhaust.

Copy that, it just takes time cutting oil and strong arms to hold the hole saw up there for that long....

The best bet would have been to put the cut in before powder coating... mine is circular. What I'd like to do is as you suggested and drop it back at a 45... then plung it through in an oval cut out.... need a plasma for that cut, but would look awesome!

Also I'll be curious to hear your review on those tires, they look pretty sweet.

Truck is coming together, still on track for SEMA?

The tires are significantly lighter than their E rated Trail Grappler counterparts. How do they perform? no idea till I get it driving again. But it looks to have a LOT of the performance attributes of the Trails but way better on-road characteristics of the Terras. There's a reason why Nitto is pretty proud of these things.

As for SEMA, we were trying for the Offroad Expo. No one has approached us about SEMA. If someone wants the truck for SEMA, I'd be happy to oblige, but the only deadline we're rushing towards is just to get the truck done and enjoy it.
