Oh totally. It's not a soccer mom SUV anymore. It's purpose built.

It's a heavy truck but with a purpose. Kinda interested to know what my mpg is gonna average out to be post-upgrades.

Got in to ABQ yesterday around 1:30 and we buttoned some stuff up on the truck. We had to cut back the RCI fuel tank skid as the driveline was making contact with it due to the increased travel. So we cut the shit out of that!

Then we took it on a trail run around ABQ just to figure out what was rubbing. We need to cut back a few plastic trim pieces at the bottom of the fender well and shorten a pinch weld. But besides that? Awesome!

Does LT make your truck float over terrain? No. But...it feels far more confident. Like before you would go over a large rock at the back end would kick up and then DROP. Because there's so much more downtravel it just rides down the rock so what you think would be a jolt just turns out to be a comfortable decent down from an obstacle.

It's sort of hard to describe it. You still feel connected to the trail, it just takes the edge out of it, and we drove it with street pressures (38-40psi).

One thing...the Ridge Grapplers are dead silent. Absolutely SILENT.

Yep, I had the same problem. In fact, I had to fabricate a new bracket for that rear corner to gain enough clearance for the drive shaft when the driver rear tire is fully stuffed. And I'm running a stock track bar.. If you have an adjustable one and lengthen it to center the axle 100% at ride height with a lift... the problem will be worse.

I'm guessing you have a bit less travel in the rear than I do. Which makes sense for an all purpose rig that can do high speed stuff needs to be balanced. I don't mind my rear having quite a bit more travel since I really only do trails.

Once we cut the skid plate back an inch the problem is non existent.

The only annoying thing is the spring tensioned limit straps. They squeak. They do their job. It's just annoying. We will grease them and see if it helps.
 
Did you have to beef up the steering box to move those beefy tires around?
