LawnDart's Build Thread

Are you going to put your front skid plate back on? Looking good by the way!

We have to do the differential fluid swaps because of the new gears. No point putting the skids on for the week when they had to come off again. They'll be reinstalled tomorrow.

XV3 trailer. November is a new winch and some smaller tweaks.

I joked to Walt we should do a cummins turbo diesel swap. He laughed for a second and then said, "you know...I could make that happen."

Yes. Just yes. Throw an atlas in with nv4500...

Nice! I went there on my trip last year, and read reviews about that house. Apparently people were throwing pizza on her roof.

Did you go to any other Breaking Bad places? I went to the car wash, Jessie's house, and Los Pollos. Was that lady mean to you like she was to us?

She's just kind of a horrible person. I have friends on the film crew who say she's just that way in general. If they were smart they'd sell the house for double what they paid for it. Or if they were really smart just buy another house and rent this out to fans on airbnb.

But yes she yelled at me. I yelled back and took my photo anyways.

So..does she just sit there in her garage all day and yell at people?

Yes. Yes she does. And she will scream at you if you park on the street in front of her house or step on her sidewalk. I guess she doesn't know the laws and has called the cops so many times they ignore her now.

I even parked down the street and walked to the front of the street and politely asked to take a photo and she flipped her shit.

I haven't been there myself, although I have thoroughly enjoyed the Yelp reviews. I have already made up my mind and decided that if I do go there, I will get out of my truck with some noise cancelling ear protection on that I normally use for equipment operation so I physically can't hear her :boxer:

Not a Cummins, but one of my best friends actually puts Toyota Diesel engines into USA Tacomas/4Runners/FJs/LandCruisers (and that one Tundra)...

Diesel Toys® |TOYOTA DIESEL CONVERSION EXPERTS | Toyota Diesel Conversions

When I win the lottery, I am getting on his list.

I only live 100 miles away but I've never been to any of the BB locations even though I did enjoy the show. It's on my list of things to do though.

Very Nice, Your truck looks sweet.

Anyone got an extra $30K lying around so I can get that diesel conversion done? Promise to post plenty of pictures and give rides!

Yep, I had the same problem. In fact, I had to fabricate a new bracket for that rear corner to gain enough clearance for the drive shaft when the driver rear tire is fully stuffed. And I'm running a stock track bar.. If you have an adjustable one and lengthen it to center the axle 100% at ride height with a lift... the problem will be worse.

I'm guessing you have a bit less travel in the rear than I do. Which makes sense for an all purpose rig that can do high speed stuff needs to be balanced. I don't mind my rear having quite a bit more travel since I really only do trails.

This is great stuff! I have been hearing a bad sound on right inclined sharp turns, and couldn't figure it out. read this, and bam! fixed. Drive shaft was hitting the RCI rear hanger bolt, All i had to do was flip the bolt.

Lawndart, Rig looks amazing!

Very tired. Walt and I just left the shop at 9pm.

We got done everything but the ARB manifold kit for the front air locker, nor did we get the switch wired up. So that'll have to be done by my local shop in Portland mid November.

I'll also need to install the pelfrey battery tray sometime this weekend when I can get some help pulling that giant odyssey battery out.

I also decided I think I'm gonna convert all my lights to Baja designs.

New sponsorship? Why a lighting change? :twitch:
