The RCI one looks just as good and is about 100 dollars less. So I think I'll opt for the RCI one, plus it protects the E-Locker components.

Cool, looks good. The only difference I can spot is the materials and design used to mount it to the axle tubing and third member case. Should do the job like a champ.

Next steps for April are:

Goose Gear: We're going to do the 60% Delete, meaning the middle/right rear seats will get removed. We're building a platform that my dog will ride on, and under that platform we'll be installing a second battery (group 35) along with a National Luna controller.

I'm also going to be installing a solar panel setup on my roof going into a charge controller. You really won't see it unless you're above the truck, but at camp it'll keep it all topped off.

I work in Post-Production. I can't say exactly on what yet.

She's 5 months old and about 23lbs. We're thinking she'll end up around 35-40lbs at most. She's awesome and absolutely chill even at 5mo.

I had a large branch kick up and wedge itself up under the rear body area just a short while back. Getting it out was easy enough and it obviously didn't hurt any steel but I was worried about those thin wires connecting the e-locker. Fortunately it didn't hit them or it would have torn them right out along with the breather hose. I've been thinking about some protection for that area and looking at the yoke on the RCI diff skid makes me think that's the ticket.

Just went through this entire thread and holy smokes! Amazing build man! Definitely an inspiration and awesome to see what can truly be done to these rigs!

My insurance, Farmers, is awesome. 100 dollar deductible on glass repairs, including OEM. So I'm getting the front windshield replaced with a new OEM piece of glass.

Then tomorrow we're doing Ceramic Pro to the front windshield, mirrors, front side windows, and MAYBE the rear side windows.

Mud and rain just friggin fall off that coating.

The passenger side of my vehicle is always dirty as the tires sticking out normally rooster tails water/mud, but the snorkel basically deflects it rear and up, so it blasts the side of the vehicle.

I've had great luck with Aquapel and have used it now for the last 3yrs on all of our rigs with great success. I find a coating generally lasts an entire "season" and it can be found on Amazon in bulk packs for a really good price. I run it on every window and light on the rig.

It's is a different coating from Rainex that is a patrolieum "oil" type product. Because of that I've found Aqualpel to be a much better product.

Oh hah, yeah I was getting my new windshield installed. The staff over there love it, and it takes about 20-30 minutes to get checked in because they like talking about it.

Where are you getting this done? You have peaked my interest. I've just used wax over the years (rain x doesn't last) and I'd love to put a coating down that I don't have to touch again.

I've heard they do good work on tinting, need my fronts done so maybe I'll do a package deal. Mine won't be until next year so if you get it done before that, let us know how it goes.

Getting it done tomorrow. Will have to cure overnight so back on friday. Debating if I'm gonna do the windshield, mirrors, and front side windows. Or do all that plus the rear side windows (door windows and NOT the ones in the cargo area).
