LawnDart's Build Thread

Issac, Magnuson has the supercharger in beta testing now for Gen 5’s.............

I’m aware of that. And the formal price is even higher than expected.

For now I won’t be super charging my vehicle due to a variety of concerns. Really hoping URD gets their product out as a whipple would be much better.

Quit staying on topic and get back to the booze discussion! :guitar2:

I like macallan, but I like a nice Breck. bourbon as well. :pop2:

Didn't BWInc say that the current engine may not be able to handle supercharging?

Clearly Magusson has shown you can do it, but they're being extremely conservative about it. I'm mainly just looking at cost/benefit ratio. And there's parts of Idaho/Oregon where 91 Octane is just stupid expensive or not available as you pass through tiny towns.

$5,600 plus install is a good down-payment for a RaptorDart... my next truck is making it easy to resist the S/C here and at this price point with 91 like you say.

5700 actually according to the email they sent out...BEFORE install costs.

It's also a big payment on something like a Can Am X3.

OMG, we saw a couple of those on the trail two weekends ago. Went for a short spin in one. They are WAY too much fun.

You should get one.

It's like a mini-trophy truck with it's 24" of wheel travel. You can put 35s on there and just rip around town. I love that in places like Utah they're street legal.

Just stupid fun.

there's a 4-seater at my local bike shop on the floor.... modded, sticker is over $30k.

THIRTY. THOUSAND.

Yeah no thanks. It looks awesome, but I could never justify more than I paid for my new explorer for a quad.

I agree, but 17K for the X3 is awesome. Add to that it's just one of those toys that leaves you grinning ear to ear. It's just fun for the sake of being fun.

$17k for something like that, new with a warranty, that's understandable. And its not much more than the basic RZR used to cost.

I called the shop to ask my buddy wtf was on the floor, its an X3 MAX turbo, they want $35k for it. That is some banana shit there.

The 4 seater is stupid. But the 2 seater is epic fun.

Well, I started the process of getting the 4Runner fixed up.

Major service today...and discovered my pinion gear is pretty much thrashed.

So I'll have to keep it to light driving for the next 3-4 weeks till I can drop the truck off at MULE, and have them take apart the rear diff so Nitro can warranty the rear pinion/rings.

LawnDart are we close to seeing the Pelfrey rear yet?

They put photos of it on their facebook page, well...just one photo.

That's MY bumper. As I'll be getting the first one. I don't think you'll see it on my vehicle till late december or january.

But it's coming, it's awesome. It's also expensive, but it's awesome.

Figured out my wheel clearance issues, I think this is a good solution:
