Did you use Line-X or Raptor Liner as I like the look of your liner. I'm trying finish up the trunk on my 70 so I can toss my bike gear in the trunk.
I did the entire underside of the car and it sure makes it easy to keep the underside clean.

Line-X. I didn't have them spray it on super thick. I'd guess it's 3-4mm at most. It's mainly just to provide a bit more rigidity and protect the inside so that a rock doesn't crack the fiberglass and/or star crack the paint from the inside out. The cost came out to about 65 a side, and was done in about 24 hours. A little bit of overspray needs to be cleaned up but that's for the body shop to worry about.

Thanks. It's certainly purpose built. The big thing is that at the end of this repair session I think I'll have fixed everything I broke in Baja, plus reinforced what I think will survive another trip. However I doubt the 4Runner will return to Trail of Missions this year. I'll be hooning a friend's Gen 2 Raptor in June as co-driver.
Just because I don't want it to be a secret or me trying to obfuscate the bill, but I think once the body work is complete I'd say getting the vehicle fixed up, including mechanical work (rear diff, suspension, brakes, rebuilding the front and rear shocks, gusseting some parts of the frame, etc) plus body work (paint and repairing some dents), and fenders, I'd say it's about 8-9K dollars.
That's in addition to the cost of just attending that trip, not to mention getting the vehicle down to San Diego/Tecate and back.
That said, was it worth it? Yes, absolutely. I didn't do it to be on a tv show, I did it to finally do a bucket list trip. I think my 4Runner could do that trip again this time with a lot less damage incurred, but there's always a risk.
I've since pulled about 200-250lbs from the vehicle here and there internally and swapping a few things around. But if I had to do anything again I would strip a lot of the overland stuff from the vehicle. Roof rack would go, swing arms would be removed, cargo system would go, spare tire would be strapped down in the cargo area, etc etc.
It's all a learning experience.
