Lazy troubleshooting question.

squeak
I pulled off the front wheels and gave a good look and tug under the front end. found nothing that screams out. all the bushings and joints look ok.

Vibration
I took it in to a trusted tire shop for a balance. they said three of the tires were close and one of the tires is out of round. its in the rear and they left it there. They re-weighted and balanced all of them.
on the way home it got up to 64mph for a few minutes and it seemed much better. when traffic is gone ill get out on the freeway and verify again.

Im taking it into a toy shop tomorrow for a general check up. Its a local Toyota mechanic that worked on my 91 xtra cab. see if they can find something I couldn't.

update with a shock question.

got it back from the shop with a list of minor items.

1.Wrong single electrode spark plugs are installed. I stopped and got 6 OEM Denso K16TR11 will install next week with oil change

2.Fuel trim high, not throwing error. I'll clean/replace MAF sensor next week with oil change.

3. Front break rotors are mildly warped. will replace when I do the 231mm upgrade no hurry.

4. right rear shock damp from minor hydraulic seepage. will replace all four
(also thats the tire that the tire shop said was out of round. one causing the other?)

5. Vibration in the 60's suspected from tires. Ill head to the tire shop and see if I can get them to warranty some of the cost of a new tire.

Sooo question after all of this.

I dont want to start my build for another year or two. OEM shocks cost ~400 for all of them.
Is there a good alternative cost wise that still has quality?
Autozone has them for ~200 but its a brand I have never heard of.

overall they said it is in great shape.

Single ground electrode! Changed them out and it does run smother.

I looked at the MAF and it looks brand new. It should previous owner replaced it 5 months ago.

Update if anyone is interested
1. changed plugs to K16TR11
2. durring the spark plug change I pulled the MAF and it looked clean
3. no change
4. replaced all four with Bilsteins. The struts had been moving and enlarged at the top plate and had started cutting into the stems. I am almost certain this is the source of the squeaking/chirping. so far its quiet.
5. finally found a shop that took time to work the rim/tire issue. one rim has a "slight" bend to it. they rotated the tire and "road force" balanced. between new shock and tire shop almost no noticeable vibration.

only issues left is the warped rotors and the fuel trim high. any help on the fuel trim high would be appreciated.

I found this PDF that seems to be related. At any rate it is definitely something to look at. Sometimes the aftermarket has better information on troubleshooting than Toyota.

System too Rich (Fuel Trim)

Injector leak, blockage (previous owner had recently cleaned by dealer)

Mass air flow meter (looks new and clean)

Engine coolant temp. sensor

Ignition system (new OEM plugs installed and new NGK wires to be installed)

Fuel pressure

Gas leakage on exhaust system

Open or short in A/F sensor (bank 1 sensor 1) circuit

A/F sensor (bank 1 sensor 1)

ECM

Ah this thread is kind of all over the place but I'm having one of these symptoms and didn't want to start a new thread. If I don't get any answers I may have to do it hehe.

So anyway I noticed a chirping sound coming from under my truck. I checked the zerk fittings by the u-joints and driveshaft and every one of them had really old grease on them like they haven't been touched in a long time. It's fortunate I just got my oil changed at the dealership and they said the greased them... So yeah, I went and got a grease gun and some grease and sure enough the 3 out of the 4 I saw took the grease like a starving child. I drove it around the block and am still getting the chirping. I'm pretty sure it's not any of my bushings because the chirp has a momentum to it. It doesn't do anything on bumps. Any ideas?

the chirping is directly tied to the quality of the road. It chirps a lot if the road is in need of refinishing and not at all if its smooth.

vibration seems the same accelerating/cruising/deceleration in the ~62+
I havent topped 70 so I dont know if it dropps off.

If there is a noise to the vibration I cant hear it over the road noise.

my ehaust hanger rubber things make a chirp noise once in a while, its the sound of worn out rubber somewhere im sure

could also be just something loose in the engine bay rubbing

Yeah it's the weirdest thing. It got pretty annoying today, enough for me to drop by a different stealership and have a tech ride with with me. It was kind of funny cause he looked quite puzzled. He spent about an hour looking and testing the different things. He never really found anything that posed a problem, so he greased all the zerk fittings and so far so good.
